What a Lucky Spin is
A Lucky Spin is a roll that does not cost cash. That is the entire documented mechanic. It draws from the same character pool as a normal roll, filtered by the same Luck value, so the difference between a spin and a cash roll is what it costs you — not what it can produce.
This matters more than it sounds, because it explains the most common mistake players make with them. A Lucky Spin is not a premium roll with better odds. It is a free roll. Spending it early, before your dice tier and Luck upgrades are up, gives you a free roll from a worse pool — which is strictly worse than spending the same spin an hour later.
Redeem codes immediately, spend spins later. The spin is yours once the code is redeemed and it does not expire. Bank it until you have bought the highest dice tier you can reach and put your session's cash into Money and Luck nodes. That is when a free roll is worth the most.
Where Lucky Spins come from
Codes
Codes are the main documented free source, and each one pays out in the same three currencies: Lucky Spins, Trait Rerolls and Gems. Here is the current breakdown.
| Code | Lucky Spins | Trait Rerolls | Gems |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5KCCU | 2 | 5 | 5 |
| 1KCCU | 2 | 5 | 5 |
| UPDATE3 | 2 | 7 | 7 |
| UPDATE2 | 2 | 5 | 5 |
| UPDATE1 | 2 | 3 | 3 |
| RELEASE | 1 | 2 | 2 |
That is roughly eleven Lucky Spins in total, on top of a large stack of Trait Rerolls and Gems. Every one of the six strings is confirmed by at least two independent sources, and all six were redeemed on camera on September 10, 2026. See the codes page for the copy buttons and the exact Shop path.
One caveat worth repeating: Beebom's list, checked September 11, gives a flatter 3 Spins / 3 Rerolls / 3 Gems for the four newer codes, while PocketTactics and the community dice list give the figures above. The two lists agree exactly on UPDATE1 and RELEASE. Either way the total is a double-digit haul of spins.
Events and milestones
Codes for new content drops and player-count milestones are the documented pattern — three of the six live codes are milestone codes. That means the supply of free spins grows with the game's population, which is a reasonable argument for holding some spins rather than dumping them all in one session.
The right-edge HUD badges
On the right side of the screen you will see a clover Lucky badge and a blue burst that reads like a jackpot counter. Both are luck-facing status chips and store entries rather than code fields, and tapping them will not redeem anything. They exist because paid and event luck stacks on top of your dice nodes — that is the loop they advertise, not a free spin reservoir.
When to spend them
There is an optimal window for a spin, and it is narrower than you would think.
- After the dice tier purchase. The tier sets the ceiling on what any roll can reach. Spinning before the upgrade wastes the spin's ceiling.
- After the Money and Luck nodes. Same logic, one level down: the nodes shift the pool your roll draws from.
- In a batch, not one at a time. Rolling in short batches after an upgrade rather than as an idle clicker is the habit every guide source recommends, because it keeps your rolls inside the window where your Luck is highest.
- Not while storage is nearly full. A full backpack silently discards rolls. Check capacity before a spin batch, and clear it with Equip Best plus a sell before you begin.
The one case for spending spins immediately is if you are about to stop playing for a long stretch and want the units placed before you log off — offline income depends on what is on your plot, and a spin is worth more as a placed unit than as a banked counter if the alternative is an empty pad.
The three rewards on a code, compared
Codes hand you three currencies at once, and they are not equally valuable. Knowing the ranking changes how you treat each one.
| Reward | Where it is spent | Scarcity | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trait Rerolls | Overwriting a unit's passive | Highest — no other source documented | Save for keepers only |
| Gems | Grade upgrades on a unit | High — mainly from codes | Only on units you will keep |
| Lucky Spins | A free roll | Medium — replenished by new codes | Spend after upgrading |
Trait Rerolls are the scarcest thing in the game because nothing else produces them. Grade upgrades, which Gems buy, are described by the community as a direct multiplier on a unit's cash generation — so they belong on the same units the rerolls do. Lucky Spins are the most replaceable of the three, which is exactly why banking them until your Luck is high is safe advice.
Spins and the unit-value decision
A spin gives you a unit. What you do with that unit is a separate decision, and it is where most value is lost.
- Place it, always. A unit in storage earns nothing, including while you are offline. Put the spin result on an open pad even if you expect to replace it within the hour.
- Compare it to your worst placed unit, not to your best. If it is rarer, it takes a pad.
- Check for a mutation before it ever reaches the sell menu. Mutations are confirmed by the official description, they are easy to miss during fast rolling, and a sold unit does not come back. See the mutations page for the inspect routine.
- Do not reroll a spin result you are about to replace. Rerolls are the scarcest resource you own and they belong on keepers. The traits guide covers the decision rule.
What is not documented
- Whether Lucky Spins have different odds from cash rolls. Everything points to them being an identical roll with a different cost, but the developer has published no odds, so no source can prove they are identical.
- Whether spin pools rotate. No evidence either way.
- How many spins the highest tiers require. No source publishes a spin economy, because spins are a bonus currency rather than a primary one.
- Whether unspent spins ever expire. Nothing suggests they do, and the codes are bound to your account rather than to a server, but that has not been stated officially.
Treat the practical advice as sound regardless: redeem everything, bank the spins, spend them after your dice tier and Luck nodes are up. That sequence is correct whether or not the odds differ.
